Founder of Artist in Balance Institute, an interdisciplinary team of educators, technicians, innovators and performers who work together in curriculum development and coaching of professional an amateur performers. Her background in vocal and violin performance, combined with twenty years teaching the Alexander Technique, and studies in sociology/psychology at Harvard University combine in her work life.

Creator of Violinist in Balance, a method of education and ergonomics, helping violinists and violists find comfort and ease in playing technique.
As violinist, 20 years free-lance performance experience in US and Europe.
As a mezzo-soprano, she is an active soloist in recitals, chamber music concerts, and performances of cantatas, oratorios and other works with orchestra. Her clear and flexible voice is heard in performances spanning a wide range of repertoire from Bach to contemporary, including work with the composer Robert Owens.
Interdisciplinary collaborations include performance research work with Tony Thatcher of the Laban School of Dance and consultations at the Open University, London.
