The Musician in Balance curriculum has been developed during more than 30 years' teaching and research at the Utrecht Conservatory. Professional and amateur musicians from outside the conservatory also benefit from consultations, lessons and training at the Artist in Balance Institute. Our workshops and courses are in demand. Artist in Balance gives courses as part of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Academy curriculum. A summer course for violinists and violists is offered. Musician in Balance uses a system of tools and training to enable the musician to improve playing technique and comfort. Workshops and retreats are planned every year. You can also choose to take a series of private lessons in the Alexander Technique, with teachers who are musicians themselves, and specialised in improving your playing. Players come for ergonomic fittings of custom equipment, especially violinists and violists.
